AHMET LÜLECI

Ahmet Lüleci is an accomplished folkdance teacher and performer, as well as a researcher of Anatolian folk culture.

Ahmet Lüleci has been performing Turkish folk dancing and music since age eight. He has danced with numerous ensembles, in festivals and competitions throughout Europe. At age 15, he became a dance instructor. He taught in several ensembles in Ankara, Istanbul and Bursa and served as Dance Director for Hoy-Tur, long considered one of Turkey's leading folk dance associations. His research on "The Culture in Southern Anatolia" won the first prize at the national competition held in 1985 by "Youth Sport and Education Ministry." Since 1985 he has continued his work in the U.S. as well as in Canada, Asia, Europe and South America. Ahmet teaches dancing and choreography professionally.
